We would like to awaken your interest for the feasts of the LORD because the Bible
exhorts us to celebrate these feasts.
The LORD said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'These are my
appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.
Leviticus 23: 1-2
The quotation above describes how the children of Israel were exhorted to celebrate the feasts
of the LORD. Just like in those days Jews today world wide celebrate these feasts. It is something
they have never ceased to do, despite the fact that many have been persecuted and not
been able to show their faith openly.
Why do not Christians celebrate these feasts? Is it only Jews who should do so? We have the same
God as the Jews. God exhorts the celebration of these feasts and still only a few of them are
observed. What is the reason for this?
Has this something to do with the New Covenant or are there other reasons?
We know that Jesus the Messiah, our Savior, who was a Jew,
celebrated the feasts of the LORD. We can read about that in the Bible.
We do not answer these questions but would like you as a Christian to contemplate on these
questions at issue. Ought we to celebrate the LORD’s feasts or not? Or should we only celebrate
some of them? Does it matter that we are grafted into the natural Olive tree, Israel? Read Romans 11.
